We had a great trip with REI in the San Juans. And they're right in your backyard if you're lucky enough to live in the Evergreen State (which name seems rather provincial now that we've seen the Not-So-Green State east of the Cascades). Just saw Snow Falling On Cedars, and recommend you see it. Besides being a good movie, it's set in the San Juans.- Dad
